Just a thought....

Sorry if this has been discussed elsewhere and many months ago, but...

I just watched Journey's End again last night and, while I understand why Donna had to have her mind wiped - she is human and thus her mind couldn't cope with the vast amount of knowledge she gained from the Doctor in the metacrisis (I think that's what it was called) I don't understand why the second Dr didn't also need his mind wiping.

After all, he also had a human body - one heart and presumably therefore a human brain - would he also not struggle with all that knowledge and need his mind wiping?

Like I said, sorry if I'm being stupid.

Also, the inside of the TARDIS is bigger than the outside.

To answer both your queries. Donna had a Time Lord mind in a human brain, which couldn't cope with all that knowledge.

Doctor2 is a Time Lord/Human hybrid. He may have one heart, but his brain is still Time Lord and could cope with everything.

As for the TARDIS. It's Timey-Wimey stuff.

    Hope I've helped.

    Really? Honestly?
How could I have been watching Dr Who all this time and never spotted that?

    Thanks, Friz.

My theory is: sometimes the Doctor doesn't explain everything completely. Possibly he even oversimplifies. The foolish fellow.
