Right these puppets used to be on channel 4 or BBC 2 in the 80s early 90s when they had the school programmes on....my memory of them is that they were brown puppets don't know if that meant black/mixed race puppets:)
and maybe a fruit stall/greengrocers where they worked.
I know this is vague but i've racked my brain and can't remember them.
