The Emmerdale returnee possibilities

Ok so we have read that there will be a returnee in ED, the return will have some form of impact on Marlon and Laurel leading onto Paddy and Rhona.
Many have speculated that it might be the return on Donna Windsor but has anyone thought that it might be Eli Dingle?
I can see Donna having a slight impact on Marlon and Laurel but I don't understand how she's effect Paddy and Rhona, unless she bore a child.
Eli however would impact on anyone who he came into contact with! He'd also be impressed with what Paddy shacking up with Rhona.
Joe Gilgun has finished with Misfits and I think would be a far more interesting return than Donna.

Agreed. The less Dingles, the better.
Although I suspect that one-time Dingle by marriage, Donna, will be back.:(
Not only that he was meant to be Cain 2.0 [just like Delilah Dingle was meant to be Chas 2.0]So unless Jeff Hordley decides to step away from the show again I can't see Eli returning any time soon.

I'd also like to see Thomas King return - maybe he could be involved in Belle's new storyline?

She was one of the few genuinely nice characters without any side to her.
Probably just too 'straight and nice' for ED in this era?
The return of old an old favourite can be great fun and there will be some welcome comebacks for emmerdale residents we know and love from the past. but i don't won't to tell you too much about that, i want you to watch it and enjoy the surprise.
So it sounds like a few old faces will be returning and i for one can't wait to see who they are

Yeah I'd always hoped Scarlett would return at some point - probably not a "big enough name" though.
Hoping for it to be Sadie, Kathy, Kim or Nathan. Very unlikely to be Kim though.
Think it'll be Donna, Paul, Thomas or maybe Edna's niece back again?
Would be nice to see Nathan back too.
