The inventory and crafting UI can be daunting to start with, I find it messy, and not very helpful. But after 50+ hours get the hang of crafting and inventory management.
The only way it's slightly more complex, is that you have a party to manage, but generally they can be left to their own devices. Just wish you could keep ranged classes at a set distance from the mobs. I was taking out the Dragon in the Hinterlands, saw my mage taking damage, so using the tactical screen moved him away, 2 secs later he's taking damage again, turn to my left and he's toe to toe with the mob. Wish there was a "stay a range" command.
Must admit, my dragon-slaying squad is rapidly becoming Inquisitor + Cassandra, Iron Bull and Blackwall. Equipped with double-handed weapons and just have them get real close in to the dragon and start bashing away. The Crestwood dragon got a particular @r$e-kicking off that party!
Re Skyrim, I much prefer DAI tbh. This is essentially Skyrim but with the Bioware touch.
Next story quest to do is Wicked Eyes and Wicked Hearts.
Also finished the Josephine romance. The Achievement seemed glitched, though, so I had to reload and run through the final part again.
Did another Inner Circle thing for Cullen (convos only) and one for Varric (short quest). Had a very cool scene after the Varric one where everyone had a card game.
Wicked Eyes and Wicked Hearts, is that the one at the Orlesian party?
I found that to be particularly challenging from my spatial awareness perspective! Kept getting lost....
I'm in the Emerald Graves at the moment - 58 hours in, level 18. Some tough SOBs around the rifts in these parts....
Yep, that's the one.
Once I've done that I'm going to try and mop up more side quests. I've not done much in the Storm Coast, Fallow Mire, or the Oasis, haven't touched the Hissing Wastes, and have a bit left in the Exalted Plains (Dalish stuff plus the area across the bridge) and others. I've done most of the stuff in the Hinterlands, Crestwood, Emprise, and Emerald I think.
Going to reinstall it (after downloading it again) as there are still no enemies in Hinterlands (except goats, nugs and fennecs)! Bit annoying, not installing the patch this time as it was fine up until then. (ps4 version).

Ooh, at the Winter Palace...
it took me forever to get the dance sequence with the duchess correct. I thought it was weird how it was "game over" if you didn't give the correct sequence of answers but amusing nonetheless:D
Tried for the Dragon in Storm Coast last night, I'm lvl 16 party 16 too, we got our ass handed to us. She's tough, she produces a guard/armour spell, much like the warriors, I just couldn't do enough DPS on her.
Enjoying the Emerald Graves zone, had a major fight when I fought 1 giant, a proc spell then dragged in another plus 2 gruffol things, it got a bit hairy.
Is the Storm Coast dragon the one that's on the little island? Only tried that one once so far and cut my losses before it wiped me out.
The bit in the Emerald Graves is great - think I ended up with 3 giants and 4/5 rhinos or whatever the fook they were. Good though because beating them lets you plant about 5 location markers/banners.
Another massive session last night - finished off Here Lies the Abyss - good stuff. In the Exalted Plains at the moment, rank 19.
Picked my Rogue specialisation - went for Assassin, then used a respec item to re-allocate my points.
Just unlocked the additional couple of missions in the exalted plains so off to get me a heart of a Snow White tonight!
Think by the time I wrap this one up I'll have clocked up about the same amount of time as it took me to complete the whole Mass Effect trilogy!
That being said, while it may have three game's worth of gaming content, it has one game's worth of plot and story content so perhaps that might make some thing that it's a bit of a grind. Personally, love the game though.
I want to do as much side stuff as I can before I finish the main story, though, 'cos I know once that's done I'll probably lose motivation to keep playing (much like with GTA, Mordor, Black Flag, etc. ...).

Good quest, and longer than I expected.

Don't leave things too late.
You don't get XP for killing enemies that are more than 3 levels below you (something like that).
I was level 17 when I did Here Lies the Abyss, which is recommended for levels 12-15. The enemies were level 15, so I still got the XP.
I need to do Wicked Eyes and Wicked Hearts before I level up any more, as that's also a 12-15 recommendation.
But I did some side stuff last night that didn't give me any XP at all because I'd left it too long and was now too highly levelled.

So I met some people and we all sang a lovely song and now the Inquisition is at some fortress at the base of a mountain (Skyhold maybe ?)
Yep, that's the one.

I think you still get any Power and Inquisition Rep gains available though?

Yes for the dragon, you take a boat to it.
Isn't there a whole tree for an archer?
There is, but that tree is independent of the Rogue specialisations.

It's an inquisitor perk.
Oh cool. Thanks. Those perks are rare enough to come by.
