  Nope..! Sorry you need 1920 x 1080 to get that Res! and very few Tv's yet support progressive and that Res! yet.!

  They do suit 1080i (two 540 fields) very well but obviously don't provide the native 1920 pixels required to make the most out of that resolution. The same will apply to 1080p I would imagine assuming the component or HDMI inputs are geared to accept that resolution which I would imagine they would be, the manual will probably list every resolution they support.
