Just having one system last generation changed the way I game for the better, I was more focused and enjoyed what I had a lot more because of it.

I have to agree with HB here. We too have numerous consoles and games and myself and my kids just don't appreciate them. Too much to choose from is the problem.

Your first post made it seem like you bought them all for one day, rather than over the years.

I read it that you.bought them all for your kids birthdays. That 2500 quid on systems alone without any games.

I'm aalso gonna call bs on this one.

Edit: just saw its over the years. You know you can buy other stuff. Like things that might get them outside and active.

my mum goes half with me

they had a 360 each and i had a spare 360 at my parent shouse when they go there, my oldest got a PS4 at christmes, whilst my youngest got the Vita.

we got the Wii U at launch and the PS3 came from a load of trade-in and that sits in my room as a bluray player

my youngest is getting a PS4 for his birthday and we got the XBONE for my eldest for June..

on the understanding that Christmas will be cheaper and they wont be getting a holiday this year.

anyway, i must be the only person with kids and more than one console lol ;-)

No ur not alone there m8. We too have numerous consoles/handhelds and a gaming PC with hundreds of games either in the cupboard or downloaded to the HDD. Gaming is what my kids like to do in their spare time.

    PS3/PS4
    PS Vita
    Nin10do Wii/U
    gaming PC
    Xbox 360
Laptop for XBL games (Windows 8)
    3DS (one each)

*what I have noticed though is that my kids tend to not know what to play because they have so much choice now.

Generally only 1 console here. We chose ps4. We do still have our ps3 as it's not worth selling in its current state and kids still play minecraft on it. We also re-picked up a wii for daughter to dance but was only about 30 quid or so.

At home we currently have -

    Sega MegaDrive
    Sega Mega CD
    Sega 32X
    Sega Saturn
    Sega Dreamcast
    Nintendo 64
    Gamecube
    Wii
    Wii U
    GameBoy Pocket
    GameBoy Advance
    Nintendo DS
    Nintendo 2DS
    PlayStation 2
    PlayStation 3
    PlayStation 4
    PSP
    PS Vita
    Xbox
    Xbox 360

Plus a Win8 laptop, iPad, iPhone and iPods that are also used for the odd bit of gaming.

SNES, PlayStation and Sega Master System got sold.

I was going to go PS4 only this gen, but the Wii U already seduced me and it's only a matter of time before Xbox One does too. (I've come so close a few times already)

I was spoiled as a kid and was bought all the consoles I wanted, though I bought my own Amiga and PC. Having too much just meant stuff went unappreciated and unused for ages - you can only play on one thing at a time...

    unfortunately I've never learned:
    SNES
    Megadrive
    N64
    PS1
    Amiga 1200
    Amiga 600
    Dreamcast
    PS2
    Xbox
    360
    PS3
    PSP
    Vita
    GB Advance SP
    DS
    3DS
Big ol' work PC I also use for gaming...

And that's only what I can remember off the top of my head...

    I'll put the kettle on.

I count 35 controllers. Should be enough to go around.
