I have put on another thread, i met Steve about 20 years ago, at an event whiere i got a wheelchair from, he was lovely, along with most of the players at the time, knelt down and chatted to us children.
Now if Stephen Hendry, was in there, now he is an arrogant sod, he sat there, like he didnt wanna be around us.
I'll be surprised id Steve doesn't win & amazed if he doesn't get to the final.
It's always baffled me why he got the nickname Steve 'interesting' Davies because he is always laughing & seems like an all round good chap

totally disagree with the OP, he seems like a nice man, and his fitness level seems quite high , hopefully he will do well
Steve seems fine to me too, says what he feels in a polite and no nonsense way, a level head amongst some fringe personalities.
Yes, many people mistake the natural confidence that people gain through life experience as being arrogance. He didn't come across as being arrogant to me, and I was impressed by Steve's fitness levels. Also, it was lovely to see his initial trepidation of the parashute jump turning to unbridled joy after completing it.
Steve in very well known for his dry sense of humour, and the fact that he really cares about people. I would love for him to win this, I met him when he was the world champion, top of the lot, and a nicer bloke you would be pushed to find.
I am rooting for him and Lucy, because I love 'em both.

My son met him through Steve's work to provide snooker for disadvantaged and disabled young people. He has a very high opinion of him.

Yes, he has quite a dry, observant sense of humour
I doubt it Gusto, you seem outgunned on that.

We have already - and we disagree. He is a great bloke, was a brilliant snooker player and is a good team player. I like him.
I liked him last night..I didn't think I would!
NICE
Sorry, have to disagree. He was really scared in that helicopter and said so afterwards.
He also came across as funny, likeable and witty. I really liked him.

Are we watching the same show?
