Prime-time UK TV is so formulaic and risk-free. It seems to be mainly aimed at women to so I assume that women don't like to look at other women over 40 on TV?
Perhaps that's not it, maybe it's the female executives who dominate UK TV at the moment don't like looking at women over 40.
Bonnie Hunt has had a succession of TV "vehicles" which never seem to last very long but you can't imagine a mainstream TV show in the UK actually starring a woman.
Especially a woman who isn't a glamour puss. The exception is obviously Anne Robinson but in general it's a wasteland out there. Maybe Fern Brittain too.
Bonnie Hunt was the woman in "Jumanji" for those who don't know, she's kooky and yummy mummy. It's what she does.
