We all have the right to be a little skeptical over any new Aliens game after the last disappointment, but this actually look and sounds it will be a good survival horror game.

One that I will keep an eye on.

Before Rome total war 2 I would have been hopeful.

After rome 2. Creative Assembly's stock has fallen very low and many of their hardcore fans, me included have felt completely alienated (lol) from them.

After the pr and trailers of rome 2 and then the final product, I'll take this with a pinch of salt. Never minding the fact this is a departure for them from their tried and tested RTS games

I am a big fan of the Alien franchise, so therefore looking forward to it. However like A:MC I shall wait until its out for a bit and see how what the price is. I noticed the previous game dropped in price quite fast, And is less than £5 on the PS Store.

While A:MC was a let down for many, I found it quite enjoyable and even bought the Statis interrupted DLC.

I've got to admit graphically it does look a pretty game.

    PS4 copy for me mind.

For what it's worth Alien: Isolation has been confirmed to be 1080p on Xbox one and PS4.

It probably went down in price quickly because of the criticism it got. I managed to buy the collectors edition (the one with the Alien statue) for about £15 a few months ago.

I agree I don't think it was a bad game, it was quite fun in fact. I just think because it looked so different to what we saw in the videos it got a bit of a blacklash.

Puzzled as to why the Creative Assembly were chosen. They mainly specialise in strategy war games, and have little experience with consoles or first person titles.

I just watched some in game footage, There appears to be no weapons for quite sometime into the game and only 1 Xenomorph. There was mention of Soldiers and androids.

Blimey, it's been a good week for discovering games I can look forward to. First Elite Dangerous and now THIS.

As usual, I'm going to look forward to an Alien(s) game with barely controlled enthusiasm, I'm going to rush out and buy it as soon as it's available and then, also as usual, I'm going to have to hope that Sega and Fox and whichever studio they're relying on this time around haven't created a giant stinking turd of a game and completely raped the Aliens canon for no good reason at all.

And hearing that this new game casts Amanda Ripley (Ripley's daughter) as the protagonist isn't the most encouraging start.

If it turns out anything like what has been shown I think this could be really good. It's a day one purchase for me at the moment and only a devestating review will make me cancel it. Been waiting for this for over a year now.

The fact that it's Amanda Ripley doesn't bother me at all. IF it's going to be a survival horror then I'd prefer a regular Joe type rather than a gung-ho soldier type. And I think it's a good angle to go on. Mother disappears in mysterious circumstances and, a now grown up, child goes looking for clues as to what happened.

I like the design ethos of not having anything available in game that would not have been visually possible when the original Alien film was made.
I have to hope that the usual Alien game cluster**** doesn't happen!

This could be Game of the Year, though it could all **** up and be like Watch Dogs all over again were it was over hyped and many were disappointed

Ps if reading reviews don't trust IGN or Gamespot, they only score based on nostalgia and how much they are paid by the publishers, I advice reading a normal guy's review or something to that extent

Really disappointed that the Rift demo was bigged up but won't be released.

Hope support is implemented, even if by a third party :)

This game looks amazing from the trailers especially the latest one. Its added to the list of games I'm getting. Its gonna be one expensive Christmas although probably get alien isolation when it comes out.

    Xb1 physical disc preordered

Chose the bone version as the Alien logo looks better with green for some reason. As mad as it sounds

I've found that I actually tend to agree with the IGN reviews/opinions so tend to trust there reviews more than others.

Although i'd never actually buy a game solely based off reviews, I read them/watch the videos to see what the opinions/scores are & then make my own mind up.

I played the "Survivor" mode at EGX London on Friday.

Very good, although not representative of the game's main and most important part: story mode.

It looked great, though, and the sound was awesome too. *Very* atmospheric. And the whole "retro future" look and feel matched the original film perfectly.

Looking forward to Tuesday. Having completed A:CM yesterday and now having no hair after pulling it all out, I'm hoping this will lay some ghosts to rest.

Friday starts the merry-go-round of gaming for me with Horizon 2.
