It was brilliant, actually brilliant. It looked and sounded incredible (in 3D)
I saw it tonight and echo all you say. It was breath-taking. It wasn't a film, it was an experience. I want to immerse myself in it again...and it MUST be seen in 3D on a huge screen. To do otherwise is a criminal waste
Grave Encounters
A "found footage" horror film of a bunch of people who go to film in a supposedly haunted closed-down mental asylum. Pretty good claustrophobic horror, though the third act let it down somewhat.
Grave Encounters 2
Almost a replica of the first movie, but not as good. The elevator scene was great (albeit predictable).
Really surprised by Gordon-Levitt's confident direction and thoughtful and sharp script. A very nice, tightly packed 90 minutes at the movies. And it washed away the awful taste of The Counsellor which I saw the previous day
Elysium - meh (the fact they put stapled his ecktoskeleton OVER his t-shirt puzzled me throughout the movie)
Mortal Instruments City of Bones - kinda ok but I do wish their idea of "escaping the bad guy" didn't continually consist of simply GOING INTO ANOTHER ROOM then acting like everything is hunkydory. Personally when I've just been up against a maniac with a sword and an uzi and have barely a second a go knocked him unconscious, well I get the heck out of there and don't stop running until I'm ~5miles away and underground - the MICoB people kept on just TURNING THE CORNER and thinking they were safe to stop for a 5min sob+chat session. Oh pulease! - like in Elysium
at the end, when he has the button to press and save the little girl (who might just be his daughter, right?!), so does he press it, heck no, he has to make a call first, and spends about 20mins apologising and other stuff, all the while the baddies were breaking down the door hell bent on stopping him - I would have cheered if he'd hung up and gone to press said button and been shot in the head by a just-entered baddie - serves him right for wasting time

Prisoners (2013) 8.5/10
Not that funny, just your average attempt at comedy without many funny moments.

A man's past catches up with him.
I'd been expecting a tedious drama, so was very surprised by the psychological horror elements of the film!
I didn't care for it. It's not that funny and not that interesting to be honest. Pretty much a forgettable film.

yea, same here, and i would also give it an 8/10
Jason Statham's not bad in this and I also liked Aiden Gillen's over the top performance
It wasn't terrible but it wasn't great either. I don't think that it received a UK cinema release, though I saw the DVD in Sainsburys the other day.
Last night I watched The Black Swan followed by The Deep Blue Sea, and I've just finished watching Click on 5.
I wasn't expecting to like this. The trailer made it look like a CGI fest and put me off.
But I really enjoyed it.
Bone (1972) - A re-watch. Great performances, especially by Yaphet Kotto. A keeper.
Fly Away Home (1996) - Which I hadn't seen before. It was alright, but a bit stretched imo. Probably won't watch it again.
That dragged. I wasn't grossed out by it, but I was bored s*itless.
Manages to hold up well today.
7/10
Never seen it before. Loved it. Sean Penn is fantastic.
