  Maybe look at a Toshiba 42" LCD
  
  Great picture, built in Freeview, 2 HDMI, Speakers along the bottom so it doesn't obstruct the screen, lots of great features

  the panasonic viera 42inch px600 is a real beauty.i have the px60 and the picture is breathtaking.the px600 is even better.
