Now that the biggest star of the ratings juggernaut has had to withdraw can Tumble top X Factor as predicted by a leading ratings expert on Digital Spy?

Tumble is the BBC's copycat of ITV's Splash! only with gymnastics. The ratings expert I presume is Samuel?

Seismic casting issues need a separate thread!

Don't worry, it's simply George and his BBC bitterness coming to the fore yet again.

So much so that George has posted it in the wrong forum (Broadcasting being for "TV channels, companies and other broadcasting issues" rather than the forum for the discussion of TV shows I believe).

Isn't this show just a copy of what Sky did a few years ago?

They did a circus reality show with "celebs", so how is this any different?

Can television sink any lower with this 'reality' dross?

I'd expect more from the BBC than this drivel

I feel that the programme will struggle to earn credibility in the absence of Mr Motivator.

He must be knocking on a bit now! I don't think he was that young 20 years ago!

Maybe not. After all, ITV's breakfast programming is struggling to survive his loss. ;-)

Good point! And ITV have tried many things, many different formats, many different presenters, many different viewer competitions over the years, all to little or no avail. The end result is the same - a Tumble in the ratings.

Anybody who actively chooses to watch this crap will need to take a long, hard look at themselves afterwards.

So you've see it then? It might be rubbish, we've yet to see (although early indications are none too promising), but maybe a prejudgement is not the way to go at this stage.

    It's celebrities doing gymnastics.

That alone dictates the likely level of quality the show will have.

Not quite true. Eamonn Holmes, who is never confused with Mr Motivator, topped the breakfast ratings. Maybe Eamonn should be brought out to Tumble?
