... or even put 'err uh' at the ends of their sentences..

Does this annoy anyone else? Is it just me?

God my friend says that all the time, I always say to her 'are you tired?'

My nana used to say funedral for funeral.

The one that irritates me is the number of TV people who confuse "xxx and me" with "xxx and I".

I spent years throwing socks at the TV every time I heard Dubya say "nukular".

I had a pompous boss who constantly peppered his speech with "to all intensive purposes" instead of intents and purposes. It would still have got on my nerves if the phrase has been correct.

Seckatary instead of secretary is the one that's currently annoying me. It doesn't really bother me if it's just somebody saying it wrong in a conversation but when newsreaders and politicians pronounce it that way, it makes them sound exceedingly dim.

    Huh?

Of course there is the well worn 'should of, could of' nonsense along with mixing up their and there - 'Did you see there selection of cakes?'

"Artic" as in "Ohh, I used to love artic rolls".

"Robin Reliant" - that's like saying "Fiesta Ford".

Never heard 'sumbarine' but 'skellington' I've heard a lot.

Another one is 'expresso' as opposed to espresso - It doesn't wind me up but I hear a lot of people say it like that.

When he was about two my little brother used to sing "we all live in a yellow sumbarine". It was cute. He doesn't do it now though!
