    No, Kellie isn't off limits.

That isn't the case. I think some of the posts were a bit controversial, shall we say.

Which is a shame, as quite a number were very enlightening.

I would imagine that may have been the cause of the thread going. Also the title of the thread as well could have caused offence.

    :)

Freedom of speech has limitations. One of those concerns hate speech. People clearly can and have talked loads about Kellie so the removed posts could have amounted to that.

Some people do seem to feel the need to indulge themselves with hateful rhetoric for some reason and all too obvious 'jokes'. They must be really good fun on a night out.

The moment someone attacks/questions kellie transgender decision the post/thread gets banned, the mods know this site might be open to criticism to allowing such posts/threads.

James might be gay and frenchy is a **** threads should be banned as well, james is married to ola, and frenchy as only sunbathed topless hadly slutly behavior if you looked at other housemates actions from previous shows.

Talk about what they are doing in the house.

Legally, is Kellie still Frank until there's a change in the birth certificate?

Nope she can call herself what she likes, legally. Only when it comes to more formal occasions like opening a bank account or appearing in court must she use her real name.

That real name is not determined by birth certificate either. When a name is changed by deed poll, the birth certificate is unchanged.

I feel as a rule of thumb Lee it is worth thinking about whether the world will be improved, enlightened, interested or in some way benefit from expressing a thought.

Just because we think something doesn't necessarily mean it needs to be expressed
(even under a freedom of expression banner). The need to express personal distaste and anger is often where it goes wrong I feel.

In real life freedom of expression is balanced by actions deemed to incite hatred and defamatory statement which are either criminal statements or against are civil wrongs.

An individual poster may think that XXX housemate is a rude, obnoxious, arrogant, spiteful, twisted, insufferable etc bitch, But writing a steam of insults is not debating and putting that thought out there doesn't add to any debate. It is merely an expression of the poster's own hatred.

Another useful thing to bear in mind I find is to comment on the behaviour not the person or if you like the sin and not the sinner.

The T&Cs of this forum expressly forbid making insulting comments about HMs. The amazing thing to me is that more posts are not removed.

I would imagine Kellie will have changed her name legally by deed poll, and following that will have changed her passport to her new name and female gender. All she would need to do that is a letter confirming her diagnosis written by her gender specialist.

She will need to live in role for two years before she can apply, with supporting documents, for a gender recognition certificate which she needs to have her birth certificate changed.

I read that a Transgender person has to apply for a 'certificate' after a certain amount of time living as the desired sex has been completed. Until that certificate has been granted there is no legal requirement to call a Transperson by the pronoun attaching to the chosen sex.

The T&Cs also say forum members should be treated with respect and forbid "posts which insult, belittle, bait or otherwise antagonise forum members" -- yet that went on seemingly unchecked during bb15.

I also see many insulting posts about HMs. That seems to go largely unchecked as well.

I read the thread that was deleted, and I don't think there was any "hate speech" in it.
