So, Shara Proctor qualified in 1st place in the LJ. Dare we start building up her medal chances? She looks like she has 7 metres in her.

I wonder if we could see a shock in the mens 100m.

Just got in thirty minutes ago and watched the 10 on Iplayer. Was worried for Mo with Jelan on his shoulder in the final bend, but I should have known better. Mo is top fighter and in the form of his life. Hopefully he has conserved enough for the 5000.

Christine looked superb in the 4. Heard that both 800m boys made it through to the semi-finals as well. So far so good....

Too bad if you had any money on the bloke from Surinaam there. He might have finished, at least.

I think all the ex-dopers should have their very own race ..... there are enough of them by now to have their own championships!!:p

Why is Gatlin allowed to continue running after 2 bans?

Yeah, he's looked a bit better since then though. He ran 9.85 last time out which suggests he is capable of sub 9.7 in the final which Gatlin (or anyone else) couldn't match.

All the Turks and Russians banned recently as well, could be something in that World Doping Championships idea! :D

It pays athletics no credit if that were to happen here ..... actually it would make the sport more of a laughing stock that it is already with these sprinters.

Quiite literally : you'd wonder if it would be possible for any athlete to run under 9.90 or 9.95 without steroids.
