I reckon it will, as people have suggested, be the 17th, with the new format's Double Auditions: the latest X Factor has started (other than series 1) Was August 21st, and that was with one round of auditions - so of course it will be earlier, why would they start it later with a longer format! (unless they have Double Bills)

It started on August 22 in 2009.
I actually think it will finish a week later this year, so it finishes a week and a bit before Xmas.
Well in that case, there will be episodes on both Saturday and Sunday this year.
So if it starts on 31st and does run across weekends, looks like this could be schedule
August 31: Auditions start
September 14: Arena auditions begin?
September 22: Auditions phase concludes (likely to be 7 episodes as before, or even eight this year if they want to spread closed room auditions and arena auditions across four episodes each)
September 28/29: Bootcamp
October 5/6: Judges' houses
October 12: Live shows begin
December 14/15: Final weekend (if the live shows run for ten weeks again, and if so, BBC will be p****d off because it will surely clash with Sports Personality of the Year, and they'll want huge figures for that).
It is going to be 31st just looked at tv guide another Harry Potter film on the 24th.
plus Tipping Point celebrity series finishes on the same weekend (Sunday 25th), so that will also empty a Sunday night slot for it on the following week (1st Sep)

That's not an official account.
Bullshine then!
Hope it's early/mid August

And this forum.
Who is the woman with the frizzy hair singing "you looking at me?" I recognized every artist in that apart from her.
Cher Lloyd, song is Swagger Jagger.
Ah, the one hit wonder!
She actually seems to be doing okay in America but isn't doing as well here. She filled in for Demi Lovato at a few auditions for X Factur US as well.
I don't think she actually did fill in for Demi, I think that was just a made up rumour.
Actually, Cher never guest judged The X Factor USA, that was just a rumour.
Whoops! Silly me.
It seemed credible at the time......

That's just my presumption anyway.
