I've been watching it on sky boxset, forgot how good this was.

I was obsessed with this back when it was on. Season 8 had possibly the most perfect ending of anything i've ever seen. I was blubbing like a right sissy

Scrubs was my fave TV show and I have all the seasons on DVD but it should never have come back after JD left in season 8. That was the perfect ending

Pete Gabriel: the book of love as the thene song in the season 8 finale. Wow.
    Adored scrubs .

I was watching scrubs the musical the other day. Guy love is still genius

It's a pity they weren't allowed to fully launch the spinoff as a standalone series because it might have done something. Having it "officially" as Scrubs Season Nine probably put a lot of people off it.

I refuse to watch season 9. It's not scrubs.

Just binge watched them all again on the sky box sets.

    No, it's not Scrubs, it's a spin-off.

That's the way I looked at it - to me, it was always a spin-off. I actually felt it was just starting to find it's feet towards the end of the season before it was cancelled.

I seem to remember that in the later series Dr Kelso calls Turk Dr Turkleton and claims he always thought that was his name yet in the earlier series he calls him Dr Turk, so I have no idea where that came from.

I think of Scrubs as following a similar trajectory to How I Met Your Mother. Great for the first few series, then a plateau where familiarity with the character kept you enjoying it, and then a sharp decline for two seasons when it should have been killed off but everyone was making too much money to want it to be cancelled. The end. (And Sarah Chalke was in both.)

Thinking about it, I may have described the trajectory of most long-running US sitcoms. When the only reason to continue is to make money, you should stop immediately.

I disagree with Scrubs as I enjoyed all seasons, but Modern Family falls under that category, should have ended a few seasons ago.

I would say both Modern Family and Big Bang Theory are both in very long plateau stages. MF had a very good episode last week, but has been coasting for three or four seasons now, with occasional returns to form.

The first six seasons were, and still are, hugely entertaining; but it lost its way during the writers' strike during s7. And I really couldn't connect with it during S8 at all. And I care not to mention S9 in the same context.

I recall watching reruns of of the first 4 seasons during my university days in 2011-2015. and it really made my day - funny, thought-provoking, sad and generally good food for the senses.

Favourite character? that would either be Dr Cox or Todd.

I find it hard to pick a favourite character as they are all likeable, but The Janitor does has some great lines though.
