I have started already, mysteriously put on half a stone in a month! Am quite small so it's noticeable. I'll probably be wearing a frickin Santa suit by Christmas day
I hadn't been weighing myself to check but I was certainly more 'squidgy' after previous festive seasons. But hopefully none this year as I've just lost almost 2 stone and I'll be well pissed off with myself if I put it back on!
I intend to lose weight over Christmas. Wish me luck!
Every year I put on at least half a stone, but thankfully lose it by the end of Jan.
Not this year - oh no no no, it's 'Operation not get mistaken for the turkey' (also known as 'Op Big Bird Nooooo!').
Have also purchased some xls medical tablets, as I can't not have cheese with my port. So it's damage limitation

I didn't put any on last year and I don't intend to put any on this year either. I will maybe have a few little treats but I won't be making a massive pig of myself just because it's Christmas.
I usually put on half a stone or maybe a stone. I bet hardly anyone loses weight!
So how much do you put on?
This Christmas am going to lose it..my husband and I have 2 weeks off together and apart from pigging out Christmas day we are back on a health kick food wise and Insanity DVDs..a promise we have made to each other..
I don't understand what the big deal is about weight gain over the Christmas period. Who cares? It's the time of year where it's natural to over-indulge in certain stuff, be it food from the Christmas dinner or a bit too much alcohol, so don't worry about it!
I weigh myself every Friday and was shocked that I didn't change weight over the Christmas week last year, but the week after I put on 4lbs. I didn't beat myself up about it and naturally lost it anyway.
It's not like you're eating like that every day where it's becoming a habit and you're body gets used to it. Like a previous poster said, it will pass through with maybe a pound or two gained but it will gone by mid January.
The average person eats 4000 calories on Christmas day, so if you're having an extra mince pie this year don't think you're being greedy, just remember that most of the population will be exactly the same as you.

Mince pie my fellow chubster? Lol
It's been about a stone and a half in the last year..........:o
Never confuse thirst with hunger and keep yourself hydrated.
Enjoy the extra nibbles at Christmas, if your body is well trained, the pleasure will just pass through.
