    Music testing is instigated by Group programmers who don't know which songs to play, so they shouldn't be in the job in the first place.

    It's total & complete nonsence & a huge waste of money.

    It's also very hit & miss, depending who you ask.

    They also only test a few hundred songs, then they still play Charlene-I've never been to me in the Golden Hour/ Top Ten...has anyone tested that song ever??..i doubt it.

    All you need is a copy of The hit singles book & someone who knows which ones to play & which ones to loose.

    There is a comment I really liked on the Guardian blog site:

    "Music testing is the equivalent of asking a group of people what food they like, and on finding fish and chips are popular, making them eat fish and chips every single day."
