Synonyms I've discounted for 'green': olive, emerald, lime, jade

Synonyms I've discounted for 'lea': meadow, land

    Might be something 'field'..........The Colourfield?

    Nope.
Think of a s-s-s-single word that goes with both of the words in the clue. :)

Fox relates to both, but can only think of Sam Fox for some mysterious reason. ;)

Here's a quicky whilst we are waiting for Spoon. Ignore it if he comes back.

    Illegal bugs possibly.

    Praying Mantis?
    Adam and the Ants?
    McFly?
    Crawler?
    The Creeps?
    Iron Butterfly?
    Superfly?

    Golden Earring?
    (T)ears for (F)ears?

    Mike & the Mechanics!
    The Mike-Al Schenker Group?
    Mike Emical Romance?

Mike Lew (for after that insectoid one) - sounds as if an Anti-Islamist has forbidden the end of fasting

    Mine's a covers band.

Not getting very far with yours spoon.

    Is the word 'band' there?.

And is 'end of fasting' literally something like 'ting' or 'ing' or just 'g'?.
or maybe more cryptic like the last few letters of 'ramadan'?.

    wild guess
    'bananarama'

    Black Lace?

    Illegal = black (market)

Lace = lace bug (type of insect)

I was also thinking of Undercover, but perhaps that doesn't quite fit....
