Sky broadband/telephone problem

I'm with sky and recently this problem started.

Whenever someone calls the internet will stop working for abut a minute. The light on the router will go off then flash orange and the back to green. Any idea why this is happening? Its very annoying while watching Netflix etc.

    I'm not an expert, but this sounds like a problem with the micro filter on one of your telephone sockets. Try disconnecting all of your phones and see if you get the same problem when someone rings. If you don't get the problem then start reintroducing phone and micro filters one at a time and testing as you go.

    The other possibility is that there is a short between the bell wire and one of the signal wires. This can happen if you have a telephone extension wire running around the bottom of the skirting and it has caught on a gripper rod.

    Check to make sure that your Sky box phone connection has a microfilter on it, often these get missed off!
