  I also agree. I think his performance was good for what he did, but it didn't blow me away. Channing's performance was the one that did that.

  If he didn't change his appearance so drastically with the fake nose and whatever they did to his eyes he would never have received an Oscar nomination.

  Enjoyed this slow burner and the sense of unease, thought Carrel's performance was fine, very good at being a creepy bastard and never really thought about who was acting, just saw the character, Mark Ruffalo was excellent and i'm no fan of Tatum but he did an ok job of being a sulky big lunk.
  Great soundtrack also.
