    Goosebumps.

If that's Hans Zimmer's score then wow, he's done a good job! I like how WB haven't showed major spoilers/action sequences in the trailer - still pretty vague but epic at the same time.
No, the initial music is Lisa Gerrard's Elegy, she's not working with Hans Zimmer this time, it's just a selected piece of music for the trailer.

Looks great, i wish they weren't converting it to 3D though, i'm a supporter of "true 3D" (i.e. if it was filmed in 3D), but since this wasn't filmed with 3D in mind i wouldn't be surprised if the action scenes were headache inducing, although since IMAX will undoubtedly be 3D only i guess i'll have to stomach it...

This line just proves how ridiculous going to the cinema has become. Seems that's all we do now, pay our money and deal with various "stuff."

I'm sure it'll be available in regular 2D so it's not like they're forcing me to see it in 3D, but given the choice between 2D on a regular screen and IMAX 3D i'm going to go with IMAX everytime, conversion or not. The choice is still there if i was adamant about seeing it in 2D, but ultimately i'd rather see it on the huge IMAX screen, regardless though i don't feel that the studios are ramming it down my throat (especially since there's no additonal charge for the 3D with an IMAX film).

All that said, The Avengers was a 3D conversion and that looked great in IMAX 3D, so maybe i'm being overly negative. Guess we'll find out next summer.

This trailer is amazing. I have seen a few grumbles recently that it all seems to serious and Dark Knight-esque. This is the only way it would work. The original Superman films were great and of their time but silly camp doesn't cut it anymore. With the world we live in these films HAVE to be relateable. So for me the darker the better otherwise we will just end up back at Batman and Robin and nobody wants that. And wow did this nail it. Exciting, grand and lump in the throat beautiful. I cannot wait.

    Hoo boy.

    Hoo boy.

Just realised how long it's been since I had a genuine excitement for a film. A genuine tingle up the back of my neck.

I think this is going to be very special indeed. I've always said Supes should be more intimidating a presence. Don't let the tights fool you, you should be worried if he turns up for you.

But that aside, he should still be the hero. A true blue and red pants hero. Because despite what some say this is a time for heroes. Not too dark a tone should be spilled over him. But this looks to me to get the balance right, if this trailer can be trusted.

    I cannot, cannot wait.

"true 3D" or post conversion it is pretty much all goes through the same process. The cause for the headache is because your trying to focus on different depths rapidly, but all the time your actually focusing on the cinema screen that has a static depth.

True 3D is no less headachey than post conversion. The only difference is the director may have put a bit more thought into the cinematography to make it easier on the eyes in 3D.

I got tingles just watching it. The choice of music is perfect and it looks as the origin story will be slightly different.

It feels like waiting The Dark Knight Rises all over again.

    Agree with the darker perception.

However, to completely discard Williams’ theme is despicable.

    That theme is Superman.

It’s as ionic as the red cape and the S logo.

You wouldn’t do a James Bond film without the Bond theme or Star Wars sequel without the traditional score.

Musically thus, the film has already failed.

The difference being that Superman has been made many times for TV and film and they had used various themes prior to Williams definite theme. i LOVE that theme but it's not the deal breaker for me. would be nice to have it right at the end, a la Casino Royale.

    awesome trailer.

The trailer does very good, I wonder if it'll be the template for future DC films if it is a success.

Just like Danny Elfman's score was thee Batman score? Then Zimmer came along for Nolan and done his own thing and it suited the Dark Knight Trilogy wonderfully. Zimmer will do his own thing with MoS don't expect anything remotely like that score.

Yeah that's what i was meaning. Generally a film that has been filmed with the 3D in mind from the start will obviously be tailor made for each shot to take advantage of 3D, whereas 3D conversions tend to have fast edits or quickly moving shots that don't allow your eyes to adjust to what you're seeing properly (e.g. Clash of the Titans) because they weren't filmed with 3D in mind.

Clash of the Titans was a 6 week rush job so it looked terrible, it wouldn't have so bad had the conversion been longer, Alice in Wonderland for example while it wasn't shot in 3D had a long conversion process.
