Underrated/Forgotten Cartoons

The first one was a japanese production which was made with japanese language and music but got dubbed into other languages including english. it does have fans on youtube but its not really well known or remembered in general. i think it had a lot going for it including an awesome music score, a fantastic entrance for its main villian, an intelligent narrative with depth and compassion and it is more true to the original stories than the disney film
The second one was a 'cosgrove hall' production, famous for such classics as Dangermouse and Count Drakula. It got 2 series but if you asked people if they remember it most probably won't. i find it very amusing and easy to watch

From the 80's, it was toy tie-in, but a notch above other such cartoons, like He Man and Thundercats.
It was very unusual in not having a Snarf/Orco type comedy relief character.

I wasn't a fan of Victor & Hugo... I think by the time it came out it was aimed at younger kids. I think they started off as characters in Count Duckula, too.

Earthworm Jim, being a for the time rare UK satellite production (albeit a co-pro with a US net) never really saw real mainstream success in the way that Cosgrove productions may have, but was a fantastically bizarre series which had little or nothing to do with the videogame it was licenced from bar the characters.
Jim was voiced by Homer Simpson, who is also known for playing Dan Castellaneta in Real Life.

I found out a few years ago that one of the villains in that show was voiced by Jonathan Harris, who was most fampus for playing Dr Zachary Smith on Lost in Space

Such an awesome show to bad it lived deep in the shadow of Scooby Doo.
