I never know on bank holidays.
I'll test the poll feature while I'm here. :D

    Shops have never been closed on bank holidays..its a shopping day!!

    Are the banks open? if so, why? Its a bank holiday lol the poor bankers need them too!!!

    I'm confused, last bank holiday I went to town nothing was open.

    Yes but mostly Sunday trading hours only.

    Given that the last bank holiday was only a few weeks ago, can't you just try to cast your mind back and remember which shops were open then?

    Independents are shut. Most cafes are shut. Sainbury's opened at 9am locally.

    I was at asda at 9am this morning. Either it was open, or I broke in.

    were i am every were is shut even all the major super markets are shut and closed even the town and high street everywere is closed for 1 day due to bank holiday
    everyone needs a rest so everywere is closed even big shops and smaller shops are closed were i am at least

    Can't believe that.
    Where I live the major supermarkets are open until at least 6pm.
    And even after they close, there is Tesco Express, Sainsbury's Local, corner shops, garages, etc, open to purchase produce.

    Most ridiculous use of a poll EVER. It's not opinions you want it's facts. What shops do you need OP? Where do you live? In seaside towns they'll all be open.

    I live in a seaside town and there were not all open. In fact, "The Village" was totally shut apart from the new barbers.
