What was the most scandalous thing that has happened in your school? A RS teacher in my school told my mates RS class that a few years ago a girl was pregnant and she had a miscarriage in the toilet. Two girls came and told the teacher while pointing at a science poster with development of a foetus on it saying thats what in the toilet. The girl was in year 11 or 10 and i was in year 8 or 9 at the time so didnt hear about it untill now.

A girl in my year getting pregnant. She was 13 at the time and immediately taken out of school and kept away until after she'd had the baby. No idea whether she kept it or had it adopted - it was all spoken about in hushed tones or not spoken about at all. This was the early 1980's and as far as I know she was the only one (of any age) at the school to get pregnant so it was a huge scandal (to us kids) at the time.

My headmaster - who was also a local Anglican priest - was arrested after trying it on with a member of the 5th year football team. Turns out he'd been at it with first year boys for years, but made a big mistake by making a move on an older lad.

The most scandalous thing at my Sons soon-to-be high school was a pupil having an affair with a teacher which lead to her murdering his wife. Many years ago now though.

Our school too had a pregnancy, she was 14 and like other poster was mysteriously removed from school. She was also a jehovahs witness. There was also some quiet Indian girl that just suddenly left without notice or trace people said she was married off, she was about 13!

I was in the center of a huge scandal, I missed all but 12 days of year 10. I strolled in one day after not being in since the beginning of the year with all sorts of rumours about me from having had a baby, put into institutions to even being dead! Must have been shocking to some. I just couldn't be bothered to go to school, instead preferring wandering round Watford Shopping Center. Stealing things. Like eyeliner.

There was also various silly things like which teacher was seeing who. There was also a rumour that some teacher had a baby out of her arsehole.

Oh and it was a well known fact that despite my general naughtiness my old ginger bearded history teacher had a crush on me and the whole class used to tease me over it.

Many years ago now, but my art teacher (a woman) was involved in a News Of The World front page 'sex orgy' story and - in a separate incident - one of the maths teachers (a man) was accused of rape.

One teacher (pretty) went off with another teacher(not pretty)'s husband. I felt sorry for the second one. She was a nice enough person.

At my primary school the headmaster used to sit girls on his knee, especially one girl whose father had left her, but this was in the 1960's before paedophiles had been invented so no one said a word.

There was a girl two years above me (and also went to primary school with me too) who used to go to my school and she mysteriously dissapeared after having a baby, not even any of her friends can explain where she went, probably to live with her trailor trash bf. She was in 3rd year when she had the kid.

Also a Science teacher in his forties was sacked after having a relationship with a 3rd year girl, but that was years before I went up there, that was 2004 when my friend was in 1st year.

There was also an urban legend about a girl in my year, she never came in for weeks and there were rumours that she had slept with 4 different men while on holiday and was pregnant with the child of a black man

At my school a girl had an affair with a teaching assistant and he was sent to prison for statutory rape. About 14/15 at the time.

Also had someone arrested outside school by armed police for having a gun in their bag.

One of the teachers was arrested and charged with stalking another teacher. We were banned from talking about it.

And the RE teacher was arrested with having sex with a boy but the charges were dropped against him.

one of the girls in my year at school didn't return after the summer holidays when we were in 4th year because she was Mormon and got pregnant and had to get married on her 16th birthday when she was eight months pregnant (it was rumoured that she was married on her birthday so not sure if thats true or not but she definatley got married before the baby came) :p

Nothing really shocked us at our school...not kids being locked in cupboards, the drama teacher getting her boobs groped by a 14 year old boy, or me snogging the metalwork teacher in the toilets (classy) at the end of year disco.

    Well, it's Essex innit.

Nothing really scandalous happened when I was there. I think someone was sacked for "misusing school funds" (stealing it probably).

Long after I left the deputy head teacher was convicted of impersonating a young teenager on the internet and making lewd advances to young girls on it.

Had a few pregnancies at my school but nothing too bad. Since I left (years ago!) a few kids have been stabbed outside the gates.

I'm not trying to have a pop, I'm honestly just curious - why was the (probably imaginary) bloke's colour scandalous?

My primary school had a swimming pool. The only way to get to the pool area was through either the boys or the girls changing rooms.

The male teacher who used to take us for swimming always used to cut through the girls changing room. Each time he did we'd all screech and grab our towels etc, and he used to shout at us for being silly.

Looking back he was definitely on the dodgy side. I don't know how he got away with even being allowed in the changing rooms, even if this was in the late 70's.

Our Head was definitely dodgy, stories still go around about him in his Jesus sandals with no socks and him twisting his fingers around girls knickers in PE apparently getting them to to a back walk over or a flip............I did witness that. :o:eek:

The school priests were worse though and one got jailed about 2 years ago for abuse :(

Because really it's just a bloke knocking up a girl. Don't really understand the boost the 'urban legend' gets if you say "and I heard the father was black" GASP! :D

It would have certainly been a gasping matter at my school, probably followed by "Awww little halfcaste babies are dead cute". In fact I am sure similar rumours went around about a pupils pregnancy at my school.

This would have been the mid/late-90s at my high school ..

A school kid was flicking through a 'certain type' of magazine one day and who was featured on one of the pages? The maths teacher. :D .. I recall one of her quotes being that 'she liked to play chess naked'. Well, the news spread around like wildfire at the time - the young lads (erm, and their fathers, too) loved it! She stayed in her job for a couple of years after the event and then moved to the US. It didn't seem to faze her at all. It is still talked about to this day from time-to-time by ex-students of the school. :D
