BBC Sport on ipad air 2

Hi

I wanted to know if there is a way of clearing the yellow BBC Sport banner when watching fullscreen events on the ipad air 2?

For example I was watching yesterday's Match of the day and the Snooker and although both fullscreen (with the letterbox effect!) I still got the large yellow BBC Sport banner across the top.

Is there a way to clear this as I don't have this issue on my iPhone 5

    This sounds like the bbc sport app, that always has the yellow banner on the top of any video on the iPad. The BBC use their own player within the app for some odd reason.
    It is very annoying.
    Like you say on Android any video plays in the default player with no yellow banner.

    I'm using the sport app but did notice it was fine from the iplayer, so it sounds like there's no way around it! thanks for the replies :)
