Movies that you've took an age to finally watch
I watched Once Flew Over The Cuckoos Nest, for the first time last night and thought it was marvelous.
It's one of those films that I was too young to watch when it was first released but somehow never got round to watching it till now, even though it's a classic.
I was wondering who else has waited an age to watch a classic movie, and what was it?

As it stand it's probably Dial M for Murder which I only saw a few years back.
I Sky+'d it, thankfully my signal wasn't affected - I'd have been gutted otherwise. It's truly a great film, and would urge you to watch it at your earliest opportunity.
I had it scheduled on my PVR but the BBC signal does tend to go out sometimes in my area. Wish they'd hurry up with the digital switchover.
Also only recently got round to watching Invasion of the Body Snatchers, Spartacus, Magnificent Seven, Once Upon a Time in the West and The Good, The Bad and the Ugly.
Don't know how you've managed to avoid this for so long - it's repeated at least every 3 months on TV!!!;)
Hope you loved it.
Boo, you ****!
From start to finish it took me about a month to watch. I would start and a friend would pop round or I would get a phone call.......bloody annoying!
Planning to watch Running Man.....
I've owned the DVD for 'The Fall of the House of Usher' for over 12 months and only got around to watching it last week. A strong film but in my opinion not quite as eerie as 'The Abominable Dr Phibes.' It has a great atmosphere though and was both well cast and well made.
I always thought it was just a silly prison movie which I never liked the look of...
...but it was Amazing and so much more, I don't think there was a character who I didn't care for or find uninteresting! 9/10
It lost a point mainly because I saw the Family Guy spoof of it before it and couldn't help but see the similarities between the two! But it's not the films fault, I guess.
There are films, like Cuckoo's Nest that I really ought to watch but I find myself watching Red Heat on TV for the umpteenth time again-maybe I just don't fancy seeing them enough to make the effort to concentrate, especially late at night.
Probably why I haven't seen Don't Look Now, Casino, Ragin g Bull, and quite a few others.
Plus there are the films I've tried to watch but just leave me cold, and that switch off-Platoon (and most war films, esp Vietnam), Fatal Attraction, Thelma and Louise.
Finally got a chance on a day off from work a couple of weeks ago and it was much better than I hoped it would be.
Also saw Star Wars 1 & 2 (Originals) on ITV in 2007, but missed the third one as i was out that Sunday! I shall await the bluray releases of both to see them all in the best way possible, this time in widescreen and in HD
Alot of classics which i've still to see, i bought and plan to buy on bluray which i'll watch over the autumn after i get my surround speakers in.
I'm in my mid 30's and still have not seen Top Gun yet, even have it on DVD but just have never got round to watching it.

It's great! Enjoy it fore what it is, a cheesy 80's action flick.
Trivia - It is based on a short story by Richard Bachman - aka Steven King! (Bachman was a pen name King used to experiment with different genres other than horror)
