  My auntie emigrated to South Africa about 20 years ago but despite loving every minute of her life whilst there, she came back to live in Manchester a few years ago. She stopped feeling safe and chose to return. Despite being a beautiful place it's also a dangerous one.:(

  Can only echo these sentiments...but sadly violent crime in South Africa is so commonplace that it's unlikely.
