Memory card probs with a Samsung SGH-G600

Hi there,

i've just got a 4gb micros SD card (sandisk) for my dad's Samsung SGH - G600 camera. When i tell it to use the new card as a default, it says that it's full. I've formatted the card (on camera) and no there is nothing on it. I have however, been able to put pictures from my pc onto the card, then view them on the phone, so i know the phone recognises the card.
It still won't let me us the card as default memory for storing pics on the card. It will however, still allow me to use the 512 card that came with the camera (also a sandisk) to do exactly that.

So now i'm a bit stumped!

any ideas???!

i think you're right, so thanks for that.

however, after looking at that model on the Samsung website, it says this about its memory...

    "Mega-Generous MicroSD
Are you the saving type? No problem. Enjoy a generous volume of built-in memory plus a microSD slot that has a virtually limitless capacity. In other words, the phone may be slim, but your pickings don't have to be"

Is that what they call 2gb these days?!!

You have to remember that was written years ago when the G600 came out and 2Gb was the limit for a micro SD card.
