Thank you for posting that interview,
'You have to be gay to work on the BBC' - lol

I am going to make a point of re-watching The New Statesman this weekend
    Rik Mayall RIP

I can't rave enough about The New Statesman. Of course, one of the things about it is the writers tried to keep it topical- which means some of the jokes can leave you struggling to remember the reference nearly 30 years on. On the box- set, Marks and Gran do commentaries on some of the episodes- and even they could not remember what some of the jokes were about! But the delighted reaction from the studio audience always let's you know how current the references are.
    Very short New Statesman outtake

Ha ha, If I am not mistaken that is a young Stephen Fry in that outtake also.
That has reminded me of another good series I have on DVD - Absolute Power. (would recommend it if you have yet to see it)
It appears I have plenty to watch this weekend now :D

Rik's cameo in An American Werewolf in London. So much potential heading his way. Hard to believe this came out the year I was born.

What a lovely gesture. So tempted to travel down from Newcastle for this.

Must admit I was having a carvery in a local pub yesterday.

Had to smile when I saw the Bombardier promotional thing on the bar :)

I agree, I'm very much looking forward to seeing this.

I watched his reading of George's Marvellous Medicine over the weekend...it'd be awesome to get all these things on DVD with proper quality.
