I feel the need to express my appreciation of Josie and her man Luke
Luke is a man in his own right,a working man, a man who knows his own mind and panders to no one.Maybe he seemed the strong silent type as he stands by Josie, supports her, comforts her, makes her laugh, makes her feel good about herself, challenge's her and teaches her new things, music, art, films, ways of handling situations and how to look at life. But he is also funny and sharp, able to hold his own.Strong enough in himself to not feel threatened by Josie's success and popularity,in fact he is proud of her and takes delight in her accomplishments and ability to draw people to her. he like Josie has a good work ethic, wants to be successful at what he does.He wants to do his best and takes pride in that.A responsible man,who owns his own business and is working hard every day to build it up.A man that believes actions speak louder than words, words are easy to roll of the tongue, talk is cheap. If you make a statement back it up with action, this is something Josie needs,to see if her man will do as he says, not just spout sincerity and declarations but show her these in action. Is he perfect is he eck.Just like Josie and every other person he has faults, but unlike some he doesn't put himself out there as a hero, a man with impeccable morals, beyond reproach.
They are learning more about each other every day,the strains of working in different places, travelling, periods apart,a new home. These are things couples face all over the world,no one way is right to live your life,to co exist in a relationship. As long as you talk about it,listen to each other and work together then you will be fine. They didn't split up,stop being engaged they just stopped planning for a date for the wedding,Lukes business is important, there's no point him living in Bristol if he can't get any business there, both of them are paying the bills, will contribute towards the wedding so why not have it when you have the money to pay for your special day.Like Josie Luke didn't have a perfect upbringing but he has never used that as an excuse to not work hard, contribute,go for things and strive to be better.
And last but not least the reason this relationship works is because they socialise together with friends and family, but also have no problem, insecurities or jealousy over socialising separately. When one person is jealous of the other and then decides to play on their insecurities to make them feel bad about themselves, less than worthy, not a priority then that is not a healthy relationship. Thank god Josie doesn't have to worry about that anymore.
Is this the greatest love story in history....no that was Romeo and Juliet.Josie and Luke are a normal couple , living their life the best they can, warts and all.Good luck to them I say Josie is one lucky lady as Luke seems like a funny, strong, caring, intelligent and good looking chap but more importantly Luke is one of the luckiest guys around to have won the heart of our Josie Jo,and made her smile from ear to ear and make the blue eyes sparkle :)

I know that you have spoken for all of us that want only the best for Josie....Thank you Nimz.
Think it's about time people stop and think about how they would feel if their son, nephew or friends were ripped apart by busy bodies who should have better things to do.
Luke is Josie's choice, that's the way it is and the way it should be. And what is looks? Superficial crap, that's what.

Nice posting Nimz! I think Luke's humour is just the right amount of sarcastic and silly.

    Go Josie and Luke!

Great posts today by everyone especially Nimz, Old Girl, and Pringles...your last line was sad, but true.

First off I just want to say that anyone who feels the need to talk about Luke's looks, 1. obviously has no respect for Josie, let alone appreciation, and 2. is showing their own character. Because basing judgement on a person's character or worth by their looks is idiotic.

Also, I think people misunderstand Josie's honesty. She tells it like it is: the good, the bad, and the ugly. Hello...lice anyone? :o Anyone who cheers or celebrates her heartbreak or upset really needs to have a few words with themselves. Because if you appreciate, hell, if you even just respect someone, you don't want that for them.

Great points about Luke's maturity in the relationship and life. Sure he acts like a young guy. He's 20 something. But the work ethic, supportiveness, and committment he's shown to Josie has been big. He's moved his life to Bristol to be with her. And it's not like he was just sitting at home doing nothing. He left his life and business so he can be with Josie. THAT is committment. That shows you are in it for the long haul.

And he's actually WITH her. He makes the effort to take her out, they go dancing together, they go to parties together, they go to charity events together, he's been to her filming several things together, they watch TV, they spend time with the dog. They hang out with her friends and family...together. He supports her in what she does...not competes against her. As you do in a healthy relationship. :)

My favorite thing about Luke has been the way he's been supportive of Josie during some of her hardest public days. Arguments on twitter and also insults from idiotic eggs (qwerty) don't get him riled. He showed her support. He backed her up. He showed her he cares about HER in those situations. Which really, is all a girl wants.

I'm glad Josie's found a man who wants to be her partner. Who cares about her. And who wants to be part of her life. Who knows what will happen, no relationship is perfect, but it's nice to see her happy and with someone who treats her with the love and respect she deserves.

BTW, Romeo and Juliet the best love story of all time? They kill themselves. That's not considered a success to me.:p

Thinking about it perhaps considerate was the wrong word.
