Was ready to catch up on some of my shows when i noticed it wasn't on catch up in HD, then noticed no BBC shows were on there at all! Please tell me this isn't another round of budget cuts.

Why would budget cuts affect what is on the iPlayer?

BBC website was down with an apology home page this morning - iPlayer pages were giving a 'server error' message

BBC HD is back on catch up.

Still down for me. That's been 2 weeks now.

If you are watching BBC catch up on a tivo box you can switch it to HD.

I can watch some programmes in HD.
    I don't know why you can't.

Well i've since emailed the BBC about the issue. Here is their response...
Thank you for contacting the BBC iPlayer support team.

We understand you would like to know why HD programmes have been removed from Virgin Media’s catch up service.

Virgin Media’s non-TiVo customers will continue to have access to 7-day catch-up as they always have done. HD programme variants will be removed to make room for more BBC programmes in Standard Definition so the range of content will actually increase significantly, with non-TiVo customers having access to the full iPlayer SD offering.

Virgin Media TiVo customers will still have access to HD programmes through the BBC iPlayer app.

Thanks again for taking the time to contact us.
