Thought it might be nice to see what dances people prefer, in order!

Of the tens dances Foxtrot, Waltz, QS, VW, Ballroom Tango,
Rumba, Jive, Samba, Cha Cha Cha, Paso; and the two others Argentine Tango and American Smooth

which are your faves in order?

    ooh it depends if you mean the celeb couples dancing or just the pro dances - because they differ :o:o:o plus it also depends on the couples!! :D

    I am also assuming you mean to watch on Strictly? as oppose to watching at a comp maybe

    yes its so very different to see the dances on SCD compared to the comps but I really meant (and prob didn't explain very well!) which dance really 'gets' you as a dance, regardless of who does it?

    Rumba, cha cha cha, samba, foxtrot, ballroom tango, quickstep, VW.

    Jive has been disqualified because I don't want to rub the skin off my left foot.
    American Smooth has been disqualified because I don't want a hernia from lifting.
    Paso Doble has been disqualified because I cannot find a cow.
    Argentine Tango has been disqualified because I support the Falklands.
    Salsa is disqualified because I have sweet chilli sauce.
    Charleston is best danced after I win the lottery.

    It is really difficult for me to order,I like all the dances and i don't have vast knowledge of all these dances,but from watching three series of SCD,here we go..(And i would like any dance if it is Pasha's choreography,i've ordered them while seeing dances of Pasha's choreography in my mind)

    just realised I forgot the dreaded Charleston as well!

    I don't like the Charleston, Salsa, or Rock n Roll etc on Strictly - just would prefer the tens and AT/AS!

    See, subconscious - I was TRYING to leave them out!


    Mods, please could you amend my original post and add Charleston and Salsa to the American Smooth/Argentine Tango list?

    I don't know whether to rank them in terms of my favourites to dance (or to dance what I know of them anyway!) or to watch, so I guess it's a mixture of both.

    The rumba is high because I really love it when Vincent & Flavia do it, but usually when the celebrities do it I don't enjoy it that much (also true for the AT). Then again I love all V&F's dances :D

    Then there are those which i would have to admit I wouldn't recognise by their steps alone :o Foxtrot, Cha cha cha, Samba (get confused with other dances!!:o)

    Me too, most definitely, as you can see from my list - except the rumba which is a true favourite of mine provided it is done well (which it so rarely is on Strictly!).

    Dances I actually like to DO best are rumba, foxtrot, quickstep and VW.

    See a few of you have put the Smooth at the top of your list - it's one of my least faves I think because I don't ever 'get' it, despite being a true glamour lover!

    Or a true lover of glamour, call it how you will ;):D

    You can have quickstep, tango and foxtrot in the Smooth can't you?
