EE- Lee- is he gonna be injured or killed??
Watching Mick give Lee the pep talk earlier I wondered if EE are gonna go down the route of having him maimed or killed at a later date as MIck's speech could be seen as foreshadowing.??
I can imagine a grief stuck Mick in the future torturing himself about how he begged his son to return to the army.
Also theres the element that its clear that hes the favoured son, and Linda clearly worships him, as compared to her awkward relationship with her younger son Johnny
Would this be an interesting storyline or would it prove too controversial with people in the armed forces??

I actually think it'd be predictable.
I thought "maybe it'll be done as part of the Christmas storyline" but actually, as a great deal of fuss is made over the armed forces overseas at Christmas on the TV, I suspect that'd provoke a shit storm.
It seems to me that theyre just building Lee up to be part of a dramtic storyline further down the line. Plus Stan witnessed Mick's "go back to the army" speech & can taunt him about it later.
PLus its 2014, 100 yrs since the start of WW1, so a contemporary story of the sacrifices of war alongside the historic commemorations would be very prescient.
We've already seen that tonight,
I suspect hes been bought in for a bigger storyline further down the line. Maybe something will happen just before or after he comes back for his leave next time...??
Maybe not. Im not sure, but if he doesnt hes gonna have a court martial. I suspect with Janine & now Kat's trials they have probably had their fill of court dramas for a while.
Yes and of course tonight. Maybe I'm too old and cynical but I was just thinking I've seen this before when I was watching it. It didn't move me.
He's on leave now, but are you not allowed to leave the army (if he gives notice or tells them he wants to leave) ??? Sorry if that's a stupid question.
