Fair play to Capital Scotland's Garry Spence - venue and telly voiceover man for the MTV EMAs held in Glasgow earlier.

It appears Capital have had an overhaul of their imaging with new news and travel beds (bringing back the 'eyewitness' travel), new top of the hour sweepers and the introduction of new male and female voiceovers pushing Helen Austin back to pretty much just voicing sponsorship trails.

Theyve been creeping the new V/O's in for a while now, I imagine they will evantually completely replace Howard and Helen

Looks like Capital FM and Capital Xtra are networking on Xmas Eve:
    7pm Marvin (Capital Remixes)
    10pm David Guetta (Specialist show)
    11pm Calvin Harris (Specialist show)
    12am Gorgon City (Specialist show)
Interesting to see that they're breaking the playlist curfew after 10pm, never have they done this sort of thing before - since the Galaxy network rebranded back in 2011.

It's likely that Capital will return to live programming after 1am, but will Xmas day/night be live, or Jingle Bell Ball highlights?

Have Capital dropped the news bulletins at half past the hour during breakfast?

Has this happened during drive too?

DJ Charlesly will be in for Marvin on boxing day, with Idris Elba doing his radio show (highlights from his ibiza show) from 10pm-1am. How they've managed to get him on at that time is beyond me. I thought Richard Park was against scheduling non playlisted shows before midnight on capital ?

Listened to a bit of Marvin Humes in the mix on Saturday night and have to say it was a really good listen. Really good put together mix, great choice of songs (Remixes of Chart Stuff) and sounded really hot assume it was done by Duncan Wallace ? Marvin as well suited the show well, i know it is VTed but for a normal listener you would never know. A great feel to the show and a great listen.

It was clear he would eventually move to somewhere like Capital. He has been on the station before.

A loss to Signal, he has made the Drivetime show his own. I'm sure he'll be very restricted on Capital. After-all, eating dog food on-air probably will be frowned upon: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=37rVRALJ45o

These new voiceovers are very much taken over now on capital so will they be doing away with Howard and Helen soon but to get rid of Howard capital wouldn't sound the same.

They've pretty much got rid of Helen now, I think they'll keep hold of Howard even for hI'm just saying 'Capital'

Have hey introduced new ones again? They usually wait until Easter time don't they? What's different about them?

Which breakfast show do Howard and Helen present?

Been listening to Capital for the last few hours and noticed that they've seemed to stop using power intros on every song and stopped doing a top of the hour link. Anyone else noticed this?

Yeah I noticed that too maybe its trying to verge away from power intros but not sure what they could put in instead but I'm sure be unveiled soon. The station sounds very different with two new voiceovers. One of them sounds like the voice Dan who used to voice Galaxy

Has anyone else noticed that Capital has drafted in New talent to present overnight network shows?
Roman Kemp had been doing a show for a couple of months now and just recently they've added Toby Tarrant to the line-up.
I'm listening to Toby right now and I'll be honest he's not the best. I though Capital liked to have slick & robotic presenters for network shows?

It looks like most local stations are using their own named area links instead of the power intros but not sure what they'll replace them with

I was listening to the BT40 on Sunday and they are now using the local ID instead of 95-106 fm
