It's very close between the top 5 so I think by the weekend she may even chart higher.
Granted that NZ has a population similar to Ireland, but I think it shows that Cher can chart highly outside the UK & Ireland, which will hopefully convince SYCO to continue to support her despite her album sales not being terrific over here.
yep, small market or not, it's a good sign it may do well in the US and elsewhere as a debut release
Cher is now number 3 on New Zealand iTunes! So the only people ahead of her are Reece Mastin(the most recent of the Australian Xfactor) and Katy Perry! Yay!

i would have thought so too, but for reasons we've never got to the bottom of on here, radio on the whole disagrees with that. I think top10 is optimistic after 8 weeks in the chart, without that sort of promotion. I'm doubtful even 1d would have got top10 without the post DOI boost up the itunes and airplay
another factor against it is the brats don't like the Astro version, so the EP was never going to add very much to the original.
we're more interested in the more serious NZ market tbh:D

Does anyone know if it's being played anywhere? I've not heard it once on the radio in normal time so to speak as opposed to the odd review show or Cher interview. That said I overheard one of our ladies in accounts humming it today much to my surprise
The two black-and-white pictures between the ones with her holding flowers and the Elliot Morgan one are where she looks the prettiest imo, she looks a lot younger too.
Well this is a turn up for the books in some ways - and totally not in others. Some of the recent photo shoots she's done have appeared a lot more ahem " grown up" lately

She hinted semi jokingly about perfume the other day and has mentioned a clothing line in the past too, so there's a pattern here. Those that scoffed at "business woman" this week might yet eat humble pie.

i almost put it on the MF when i put it in here but decided not. I was more surprised the DF didn't take it up..but they'd ran the Cheryl story for 5 days running so maybe they'd used up their weekly allotted Cher allowance

Also, One Thing got like a DOI Performance which made it jump straight after so without that, I doubt they would have got top 10. Jus' sayin'
