I think they have a great opportunity with Julian to show Davros before the accident that deformed him. I'm not sure whether this story was done in the 'I, Davros' audio adventure but they could adapt that for the series. It would be interesting if the Doctor was going to do a Terminator by going back to stop Davros before he created the Daleks.

I haven't heard the "I Davros" audio story, but wasn't that ground covered in the Tom Baker story "Genesis of the Daleks" when the fourth Doctor tried to stop the creation of the Daleks?
