They'll go to whichever doesn't get the Europa League. Assuming that ITV and FIVE can't afford/show any more of it then they are contracted to do already.
would sky have room for it with loads of premiership Spanish football and champions league you get 2 games a week.
The Europa League is the only football contract Sky could obtain which is mainly on Thursdays.
Sky's current midweek football prospects:
Monday: Occasional Football League (EPL from 2010)
Tuesday: Champpions League, EPL, League Cup
Wednesday: Champions League, EPL, League Cup, Occasional La Liga
Thursday: None
Friday: None

Dont forget aswell that they have put a bid in for the Scottish Prem.
does any one know if any one will be getting the rights to show it i use to love watching it on setanta.
I hope the Beeb get it - and, before people say 'yeah, you say that because then it would be free-ish!' , it would be nice for the clubs at that level to get more exposure and to watch players which the fans can actually relate to.
Of course, The Daily Mail would be outraged that their license fee is helping to pay the wages at clubs like Cambridge Utd, while some fans would be frothing on 606 because the Beeb don't care about showing the likes of Man Utd and Liverpool every week (as if the BBC has some obligation to show those teams live every week and blow £150m+ of license fee money to do so).

It would be shocked if it went on to the BBC i think they have bigger sporting priorities
What about ESPN? It'll be a new channel, so it'll need something other than the few Premiership games it took from Setanta to fill its schedule, won't it?
I loved watching the Blue Square Premier on Setanta Sports in Australia, Setanta are still advertising they show the BSP live and exclusive to this day (as Setanta Australia is still running and are too lazy to update there commercials). I don't see how they will show the BSP next session very sad I doubt if any other station would pick it up unless ESPN take it on in the UK and ESPN Pacific Rim (Australia/New Zealand) and/or ESPN HD (Australia) decide to show the games but with them showing Europa league and Champions league midweek as well as there Serie A, La Liga and MLS games I doubt they would feel a need to show BSP unless they buy out the current Setanta channel and decide to use that.

If Setanta's overseas operations are still financially viable could they still not show BSP next season. Don't Setanta in US show Heineken Cup rugby although UK rights are held by Sky? If they have enough in the kitty it may still be possible even if UK rights are held by another broadcaster for Setanta Australia to show this. Must say I'm amazed to think that there is a market for non-league football on the other side of the world!

I am unsure if they are financially viable I think the facts is there operation cost has been small because all the production cost would of been taking on by Setanta UK or Ireland. The production was apart of the appeal of there coverage which they only put in the effort if the game was also televised in the UK and/or Ireland. For games they showed that were not shown in the UK/Ireland there production was poor they had no Half Time and they practically run 15 minutes of commercials until the second half started
This is there statement on there website http://www.setanta.com/global/au.html. How can the station run as normal when the mother ship is dead in Setanta UK. They will be forced just to show endless repeats of games as there will be no fresh shows like Football matters they have started to show the Hub from Setanta Ireland but will that survive they have more of a focus on GAA and rugby than the prior shows we got off Setanta UK and personally it does not have the same appeal
Whilst the Blue Square Premier League isn't one of the premium sports rights which led me to subscribe to Setanta, I nevertheless found it an enjoyable addition and hope that it will find another broadcaster- preferably one who will be willing to showcase it with similar effort as was made by Setanta.

They can do, but if there is no UK broadcaster for it I wonder who would film the games?

I'm not sure but the international arm will be sold off (maybe to Setanta's founders). They'll simply have to rely on more live/delayed sports, although they'll still hold their rights
Doubt it will end up on BBC, it's too minority, especially now they have the Football league live matches and highlights. Also doubt it'll go to Sky, due to lack of space to accomodate it in their schedules, and the tie up with Blue Sq rivalling their own Sky Bet service.
If it doesn't end up on ESPN, as a cheap filler in their schedules (will provide midweek matches as well as live matches during international/FA Cup breaks), I doubt it will turn up anywhere.

Why BBCi? More likely Sky surely?

Well its built up quite a big fanbase on Setanta, but it will only get minor coverage on most channels

I'm sure they do but most of the rights for those priorities have been brought up for the next several years.

Hopefully!

But only 10 games, and the first of them isn't until November.
