Nobody asks you to go into detail, just say what the ruddy thing is & I'm sure one of BBC Breakfast's other three viewers would fill in the rest.
I caught the interview with the now middle aged man who is a survivor of childhood sexual abuse by his father. He said that when he reported it he was asked if his father had buggered him and was sent to a psychiatrist, if that is what your coy post is referring to.
In my view, he was making a very serious point about how children who reported this most serious of crimes were (and maybe still are) treated. The fact of the abuse is more shocking than the language he used.
