Good riddance to the grumpy killjoy

Knew full well what he was getting into and has wasted a space for someone who would like to be in there

When Havers was having a strop last night, referring to the 'Prison' and the uniform, he said "I just can't do it, it would be totally humiliating for my wife to have to see me like that".
His recent part in Corrie where he was a 'Male Escort' who jilted his older girlfriend after flirting and kissing her friend in the bookies she worked in, then committing fraud by filling out a betting slip after the race had been won and then stealing money from the till when she was out of the shop...........is somehow 'Less humiliating' than acting his part in a reality game show.....Knob!!

Errr he was playing a role in Corrie...Do you not understand the difference?

I don't agree with him but I can't believe you've typed up a list of his antics as a character.

    Eh? Good God! :D

No wonder he was panicking about what she'd think of him in a stripey joke prison uniform plus allowing himself to be electrocuted! One must keep one's dignity at all times!

TBH they sound like a completely, totally up themselves, humourless couple :(

I wonder if he has ever dressed up in fancy dress for a party and if he has, what on earth did he go as?

Not sad to see him go. I thought he started well enough, but soon turned into a whinging luvvie. His behaviour towards Lembit was rude, he thought himself very much above everyone else, he moaned like no-one else, had that awful "I don't do electric shocks" tantrum, and then all the stuff about not going into the Jungle Jail. This series is really no different to any of the others, same kind of tasks, if he can't be bothered researching it, it's his own fault.

TBH, he should be glad if the work - I can't think of anything he had done since "The Charmer" ... It's not like he's some famous thespian, who's worried for his image.

Also, there's no such thing bored, only boring people.

Just been reading about him taking the children of his dead wife to court, for a bigger share of her will - he was awarded another £350k out of the money their mother left to them, and they also had to pay £140k in costs .... Can't say that had lifted him in my estimations.

Disgusting what a w***k and he has the cheek to look down on the others. If he was bored he should have used his intiative instead of expecting others to entertain him. He's no better than they are, in fact he's a has been and snob.

He could have devised and organised a show for them all to take part in, utilising his thespian talents and vast brain power. That would have prevented boredom.

It amazes me on here how so many take such offence when an adult is seen to be fed up doing next to nothing in the jungle while listening to the kind of inane chatter that few would tolerate in normal life.

He signed up. He got well paid. Plus exposure for his :yawn:er Career. He backed out like the loser he is.

Does he really get paid? Not the full amount?!

I'm disappointed that Nigel turned out to be so humourless and grumpy instead of a gentleman charmer like George. Saying that, I'm disappointed he walked too because he and Shaun were interesting, and I think most of the camp-mates have been stiffled by Gillian's antics.

Daddy was ultimately Lord Chancellor...the highest legal officer in the land...and "auntie" is Baroness Butler-Sloss...about the highest achieving female judge ever and who chaired the Diana inquest.

I can understand why the conversation of the likes of Alison Hammond and Aggro might have been a little dull for him:)

I cant understand why he's only an actor then, with such a pedigree. He must have been a disappointment, hence the big chip on the shoulder.

such a shame it wasnt Gillian.
I really thought for once the Daily star might be right.....

that being said Nigel is SO going to be told 'I TOLD YOU SO' by his wife.she apparently told him he wouldnt like the theme and what they are made to do as part of the show.

Maybe a note to Nigel listen to the wife next time ;)

    Did he go completely tonto??

He could do with some lessons in charm and tolerance from George Hamilton. Who'd have thought that the old American smoothie could teach our own inbread upperclass variety a thing or two.

Much as I loved George and wanted him to win, he also walked.

Is there some sort of deal that they have to do at least a week before they get any pay, in their contract I wonder?
It's just that Shaun kept saying "I've done a week" & giving Nigel knowing looks when he was threatening to go! It's made me very suspicious :(.
I seem to remember info coming out about how much they got paid, according to how long they did - when Katie walked last year. Also something about them having to appear on ITV2 & be there for the final or they forfeited part of the money.
Can anyone remember or does anyone have any insider info?
I think I'm going to stop watching now until Gillian is out - it's so boring not seeing enough of the others & I literally HATE her (sorry I know I should not use caps & it is shameful to loathe someone I've never met but she makes my blood boil :o). At least Nigel made me laugh at his grumpy old man act.
I watch programmes like this for entertainment, laughter & fun but watching her antics is making me angry & sad. Not the way I want to feel every night for three weeks, just before the season of "goodwill".

She was married to the fifth richest man in America, twice.

I'm a celeb is aimed at a youngish audience and frankly we don't want to see this old hasbeen skulking and sniping about the camp..

    Good riddance grandad!

HAHAHAHAHA! 'A youngish audience' eh? If that were so, then there'd only be contestants aged 30 or under. YOU might want to see only the young, beautiful and (mainly) self-important younger people but some of us like to see how our 'idols' unravel when faced with abnormal conditions :D

Glad he's gone. He was incredibly annoying.

Blatantly looking down on the show and the contestants. Really Nigel, why did you bother? Oh yes, the cheque.
