They were SUCH an underrated band back in the 80's and it is an honour to experience them live now as 'Chameleons Vox' .
Their albums, Script of The Bridge, What Does Anything Mean, Basically? and 'Strange Times' are just simply excellent. Songs such as 'Swamp Thing', 'Second Skin', 'Monkeyland' & 'Tears'...these should be classics.
The music section of the DS forum seems littered with such mediocrity, and if I've helped introduce you to something a bit different and wonderful, then I've done good job.
Enjoy

The 7" version of Nostalgia is even better actually, now I'm listening to it, and was the version I was thinking of.

Fantastic version Thanks for sharing.
Very tempted to go and see The Chameleons Vox,but looking at YouTube footage, it seems Mark Burgess has headed into "Bono" territory, and the band just don't have the power of Reg & Dave
Mark Burgess is still very much a 'down to earth' type of guy. It made a refreshing change when I got to meet him before a London gig last year. I know they will never be "The" Chameleons, but it's the closest I'm likely to ever get to seeing them (I was born in the early 80s).
Just meant stage persona
I meant that he's now the "front man" now, and on the footage I looked at.. (a version of Second Skin). was dancing, and leading the audience in "singing" the melody...
Just looked and felt totally wrong..
Sorry
I will make the effort to go see TCV, just to hear those great songs live again
My personal favourite track by them - The Fan and the Bellows, especially this version.
