What's with the diamond that they get?

    1) Do they get it for finishing top of the league?
    2) Do they get anything extra for winning all events? (or just the extra prize money for winning)
    3) Is it a real diamond? (I mean a top quality one worth a shit load)?
    4) Is it theirs to keep? Could they stick it on ebay the next day or is it just a loan or gesture?

    2) yeah they do get something extra. if they win in the year before championship year they get an automatic spot on their team for that event. unless their nation also has the defending world champion.

WOW that 5000m was a thrilling race. well, the final lap anyway. i didn't know who i wanted to win as well which made it more exciting! i don't know who i was screaming at the tv for...

Yeah, I suppose it is the Ethiopian equivalent of Coe v Ovett.

Can't believe the commentator just said "well I didn't spot a false start there" :D

No, there's nothing extra for winning ALL the events though - someone who sneaks it on the last day because the leader falls - which happened in the women's steeplechase last year - gets the same as Hejnova.

Great 5k. Dibaba would have dropped anyone else but Defar with her 600 metre run for home.

Typical of Gobby and Coleen to be blabbing on after the 1500 has started.....

expecting a WR by some distance

Well he got within a metre of the WR this time, so that's an improvement for Chris.

Will Sharman ready to tell us all about his glorious 8th place finish there.

"So Will, which of these hurdlers has got the most impressive back, do you think?"

Ah, once again, the Brit in 8th is the most interesting man in world athletics, more so that a WR attempt in the high jump

Come on Adam, you can do it (sub 10 I mean, not winning the race).

Not sure i'd agree with the comentator there who said Bolt wins it easily.
It was a bad start and close finish for a Bolt race.

10.06 for Gemili. Not sure the conditions were great in the end, bit of a headwind I think the comms said.

Bolt had to fight hard for that one. Wasn't easy at all. But he is still the man. Gemilli will be the first Brit to do that golden double. I have no doubt about that.

Gemili looks quite slender compared to the other guys in the race. He's a lovely guy.

The GB women's relay squad here is the same as the final in Moscow, seemingly.

Hey! Proctor won the event. By quite some margin too. Nice one. Hopefully, she'll break 7m next season.
