I quite enjoyed it, although there was a litte too much of the wives and kids, but I guess that's to keep female viewers interested. Would have been nice to see a bit more of the science.

Also interesting that the Russians and Americans keep apart a lot of the time, Iread somewhere that they are not supposed to enter each others modules or use each others toilet.

    How incredibly patronising.

Brian Cox appears to be the obvious choice but I prefer someone like Dermot. This is the sort of programme that could get too scientific and technical and I want someone to ask the sort of questions that mist of us want to know. He is likeable and obviously really enjoying it so leave him alone all you Dermot haters.

All the stuff about the space station and shuttle and astronauts in general is usually about those up in space rather than those on the ground.

Nice to see that for a change. Seeing the astronaut watching his son play hockey was awesome.

It seems a lot easier to become an astronaut than I initially thought.

    Still, beyond me! :D

For those wanting a few more facts and how they use 'the bathroom', here is Suni walking you through.

    Love that hair Suni.
    Good stuff.

Zero-G applied to thread for tonight's show just about to start, to make it float to the top.

    Huston, we have a problem!

I think this is the one that contains the full footage of 911 from space.

I guess it makes it real and shows a connection between what we can identify with

having satd that Dermot's script following and repetitive say what we've seen is excrutiating

They are selling it on the LIVE angle to lead up to the LIVE lap of the earth by the ISS on Sunday.

Having said that, channel have never shown anything LIVE for decades. They were past masters at the legal loophole that if a show starts transmitting whilst it is still recording, they can call it LIVE. They have lot's of practise with Big Brother which always had a 15 - 30 delay loop on it but still sold as LIVE.

I don't think much of his sob story: Water in helmet doesn't trump dead dad by a long shot.
