Maybe I should wait another week to get my sons Wii, though I normally dislike Amazon as they wont take PayPal.

Black Friday, came from the term to be in the black. In accounting negative values (values below 0) are written in red, so to be in the red means you haven't made any money/lost money, black friday was the day after Thanksgiving when Christmas shopping starts and huge profits which would put retailer's "in the black."

:) yeh i understand the red and black in accounting. They really should have called it Red Monday in 1987 then.

Thanks for posting anyway OP, seems like some bargains to be had from comfort of my armchair.

It's crazy out there, you wake up around 3 or 4 wait in line to get into the stores it's a mass of people. In recent years people have even been trampled while people rush through entrances to get "black friday" deals.

The lines at Best Buy start forming around 9-10pm on Thanksgiving.

I paid £130 something for it, with the sports thingy as well. I thought that was ok.

I didn't see the sentence "It's an American invention" in your post. The words "How American" are usually dripping with disdain unless they're followed by a question mark.
