Emma and Twiggy oops where's Twiggy?

Probably ages behind the times.

Still yearn to find Radio Trent on Castle Gate

Noticed today no sign of Twiggy on Capital 96.2/96.5

Listings just show Emma Cauldwell

Surely he's not gone back to his market stall on Bulwell market?

He left on the 14th - don't think it was announced until the day:

Was it perhaps an age issue, a la Moyles?

Definitely, Twiggy is in his 50s and sounded very out of place on a CHR format. He'd be much better suited to BBC local or Gold now.

Would it be pedantic to suggest Capital East Mids and Trent before that has been a CHR station for at least a couple of decades?

Actually that's a serious question: although I've heard the station over the years, I'm not from the area and so can't comment on any noticeable format changes in the past 25 years or so, but surely it's been CHR for most of that time?

    How old's Hirsty now?

He must now be the oldest Capital breakfast jock?

There's a huge difference in sound though. Hirsty and his team still sound young and on target. Twiggy hasn't for a long time. To be honest I'm gobsmacked he survived this long after the re brand. Just shows that being a heritage presenter is still worth something.
