Hi,

Racking my brain tonight cos i saw another film do a similar thing.

WW2 film fromt the 60s/70s.

The nazis are at high command talking in german. The camera starts to close in on the officer thats talking. The camera closes up to his mouth, then, when it starts to pull back he starts talking in english and the other officers follow.

I'm pretty sure it's one of the "blockbuster" WW2 movies from the 60s or 70s. But which one?

Not WWII and not Nazi's, but this happens in The Hunt for Red October.

In all the 60s war movies I've seen the Germans all speak English with German accents :)

I do remember the scene in The Hunt for Red October where the language changes and I'm sure I've seen it in other movies too - just can't remember which ones!

Thanks for the suggestions. I remember them standing around one of those huge maps while talking..
