surprised they let tom get a bye especially when he had been a bit weak throughout

agree with some of the comments above that the level of complexity varied quite alot between some of the dishes , iirc it was the same last year when a couple of them got through after doing the equivalent of boiling an egg whereas some had pretty complicated dishes

I suppose they have to give a bye otherwise someone might try to hide an injury - would not want a fingertip in the bottom of a meat pie!

altho seeing the look on greg or john's face when they bit into it would be worth it :o:D:p

John would just complain about not enough seasoning on it.

It's happened before on this show when someone cut themselves or were too ill on one day.

We won't talk about that - if you're thinking of the same person who got a 'bye' on that occasion that I am! And it was the final, too, so even worse than someone getting a 'bye' last night!

But, I do think it's only fair to adapt somehow (which they did - only one went home). I'm surprise they haven't had more trips the hospital over the years, to be honest! :p

If I was doing this I would make a traditional East End Pie&Mash.
It brings back memories of family.

Yes.....!!!! Was hoping for a bit more than that, ha ha! But working it out from having just joined the show, is it someone/something who has inspired you in life?

ETA: Ah, they just did a pretty good recap with Gregg and Scott!
