U2 Tours - Zoo TV or Rattle & Hum?

Struggling to understand how so many can favour the Zoo TV over the R&H tour... everyone I know seems to prefer the Zoo TV tour. Surely the sound is better than the spectacle? U2 sounded insane during 87/88... on the Zoo TV tour the stage/production and Bono's characters were also a great display, but it just didn't sound as good as R&H.
