No this is a mobile phone forum and there is baiting, ribbing etc over mobile phones, then there is frankly being an arse, which is not called for in such a forum

so don't rise to the bait then!

Anyhow back on topic it looks increasingly unlikely that we're getting any more news on this today.

If I were a betting man then I'd say this isn't going to be out until November

it was 6:48am in mountain view when you wrote that.

It was never going to happen today. No invites or anything been sent out. Not a peep about it apart from rumours.

Would have been nice though :D

Not rising to the bait, not frothing at the mouth, just feel that some comments on a mobile phone forum and not needed.

True, maybe there will be a surprise announcement still but I still say unlikely.

    Maybe because he wanted to?

If it was the plan he wanted and that phone happened to be on it, i see no reason for this questioning?

Sorry - thought I was on the DS discussion forum - must be mistaken and ended up somewhere different

Just interested in his views - which he has given. You know, like a discussion.

I had wondered if they would keep the 4, considering for many, even that is a 720p upgrade.

You know fine well there is a difference between a discussion and being plain rude and questioning the hell out of the guy.

I read rumours that the us gov shutdown had delayed an FCC approval and it was now going to be November.

Some are saying the release is going to be the 28th October as This is it by Michael Jackson was released on that date.

There is also this snapshot of some html someone posted. ( I've no idea if it is genuine as I can't find it in the android.com/kitkat source)

To be honest I find this all a little silly along with the kit kat name.

I agree with Flagpole just announce an event date.

I'm sorry but what's silly about an ad close to release? Samsung and apple do the very same thing.....

Think some people are being a bit silly now.....

Teasers are a significant part of a planned marketing campaign. I agree with you, it's bizarre that some are complaining about that. It just shows poor judgement and understanding. :o

Google are doing a fantastic job in building up momentum for this phone. They are certainly doing a better job than Apple did for the 5S.
